Lucyome
A custom website and sales funnel for a handmade candle brand, replacing an old WordPress store. A static site built from scratch, Shopify checkout, and a set of tools to run the project over time.

Context
Lucyome makes handmade wish candles: a wooden base that opens, a wish you write and close inside. A physical shop near Toulouse, a product that moves people, and a WordPress WooCommerce site that didn’t do it justice. We had to start again from the product.
What I did
- A fully custom site, no framework: a home page with video, a shop and eighteen product pages, an Occasions page by chapter (wedding, birth, remembrance), a Ritual page, a House page with a map and live opening hours, light and dark themes.
- A custom slide-out cart, then a handoff to a Shopify checkout styled in the brand’s colours. Shopify does what it does well, the rest stays under control.
- A site generator with two targets, development and production, that writes descriptions, structured data, sitemap, redirects, security headers and a page-by-page security policy on every release.
- Automated test benches before each release: a full journey at two screen widths, cart, keyboard and screen-reader navigation, 236 colour-contrast pairs measured.
- Every old address taken over: 69 redirects in place so nothing is lost on Google.
- An online project space for the client, with brief, checklist, mockups and shooting sheets, behind a single door.
- Art direction, content plan, filming and editing to launch the brand on social media.
Results for the client
- New site live on 8 August 2026, checkout verified end to end, eighteen live products where there had only been drafts.
- An SEO audit with no measurable flaw, pages served in under 0.4 seconds, home page weight divided by more than a hundred.
- Colour palette corrected to meet accessibility contrast everywhere.
- Monthly care underway to keep the shop alive.
