La Cour des Miracles
A complete rebuild for a Toulouse tattoo studio, moved from WordPress to a static Next.js site, with a custom space for the artists. And an enquiry channel that didn't exist before, with 52 written requests in August alone.

Context
La Cour des Miracles is a collective of tattoo artists, a piercer and a tooth-gem artist, based in Toulouse since 2009. A well-known place, with an ageing WordPress site that was hard to update and had no contact form. They needed a site worthy of the studio, and a simple tool so each artist could publish their own work.
What I did
- A complete rebuild as a static site: 23 generated pages, artist profiles with swipeable galleries, a flash wall filterable by artist, news, FAQ, reviews, piercing and cover-up pages.
- Kept the existing search rankings: 48 redirect rules so no old address was lost, structured data, sitemap, rewritten image descriptions.
- A contact form with spam protection, an OpenStreetMap map and self-hosted fonts to stay clean on privacy, and a consent banner before any audience measurement.
- A custom artist space, on the same shared hosting, with no database and no extra subscription: each artist publishes flashes, marks them as booked and updates their gallery from their phone. The public site updates within a second. Telegram notifications and an automatic monthly report for the manager.
- A full security audit after launch: no critical or high-level flaw, security headers, protection against login attempts.
- A production switch that could be rolled back in ten seconds, with the old site kept until everything was confirmed.
Results for the client
- An enquiry channel that didn’t exist: 28 requests in the first three weeks, then 52 in August alone.
- Three consecutive months of growth in visitors coming from Google.
- Thousands of automated attack attempts every week on the old WordPress addresses, with no effect on a static site.
- The studio publishes its flashes and follows its activity on its own, without depending on anyone.
Stack
Next.js exported as static, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, no external animation library. Artist space in PHP with file storage. OVH shared hosting, FTP deployment. Google Search Console and GA4 behind consent.
