Interactive studies

Three experiments, just for fun.

Made between projects, with no client and no brief. They show what the browser can do when you push it: gestures, particles, matter. Each one runs without a framework, in a single page.

01

Singularity

Playing with gravity

Preview of the study Singularity

A disc of thousands of particles orbiting a black centre. Move the centre, hold to attract, release to send out a pulse.

  • Move the centre
  • Hold to attract
  • Release: pulse

2D canvas, 3,150 particles, drawn in a single pass per colour.

02

Matter

A living material

Preview of the study Matter

An iridescent material, neither liquid nor light, that ripples under your mouse or finger. Three palettes, and not a single straight line.

  • Drag to ripple
  • Tap: a wave
  • Change palette

WebGL, a single shader, noise precomputed in a texture to stay smooth.

Metamorphosis

The shape is yours

Preview of the study Metamorphosis

A 3D particle sculpture that becomes a sphere, a ring, a helix, or the word you type. Turn around it, scatter it, it comes back together.

  • Drag to rotate
  • Tap to scatter
  • Type your word

2D canvas, 3,200 points projected in 3D, springs towards the target shape.

Want this on your site?

These effects aren't just for demos. A home page that reacts to your gestures, a product you can turn around, a material that breathes: it can all be built.
